I help families trace intergenerational experiences that impact the dynamics of present family difficulties. With this awareness, families are encouraged to accept the past and then to use more helpful ways to relate to each other.

Treatment includes skills training in cognitive behaviour, mindfulness meditation and behavioural interventions.

Counselling clients who experience grief, family conflicts, divorce, depression, anxieties and workplace stresses.

Helped new students adapt to the school by conducting orientation talks and therapeutic play. Counselled students with exam stress, parental expectations, feelings of anxiety, depression, isolation and homesickness, suicidal tendencies, eating disorders.

Counselled students with eating disorders, problems in romantic relationships, friendship issues, problems with family expectations, sexual identity and more. Gave talks on dealing with disappointments and grief.

Counselled clients on Career Guidance, Family Therapy and ran workshops on Grief Recovery Programmes for groups and one-on-one sessions.

An individual cannot be put in a box but the myriad connections and disconnections that exist within the family of origin play a significant role in the drama that unfolds in life. My job is to unravel the mysteries and offer hope in the confusion.

I use this orientation to help many clients to come out of a tight spot that they feel they are trapped in and discuss with them the viable choices available to them.

This course opened a whole new dimension to how I view myself, my struggles, my family and effectively equipped me to extend help to others so that they, in turn understand themselves better.

Having undergone this programme myself through my own personal losses, I have been able not only to empathise with my clients but also have led many to full recovery over ten years of my work with clients who suffer many types of losses.

Helped organise the first Christian Counselling Conference of the NACC as one of the founding members.
